Blood pressure, heart rate, and ventilatory data were continuously recorded before and after interventions. After four weeks, IMT-group increased maximal inspiratory pressure and vagal-mediated HRV, following by the reduction of sympatho-mediated HRV and the inspiratory time during the spontaneous breathing cycle compared to Sham-group, but did not change BRS.
