Despite growing appreciation for the importance of septins in different aspects of cell biology and disease, septins remain relatively poorly understood compared with other cytoskeletal proteins. Here in this review, we highlight some of the recent developments of the last two years in the field of septin cell biology. Treatment of endothelial dysfunction with natural products, such as pomegranate, can open new ways in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The present meta-analysis provides information in highlighting the role of pomegranate in endothelial dysfunction. Various databases, such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Google Scholar, were searched up to July 2020 using relevant keywords.
