Organic semiconductors (OSCs) have attracted growing attention for optoelectronic applications such as field-effect transistors (FETs), and coherent (or band-like) carrier transport properties in OSC single crystals (SCs) have been of interest as they can lead to high carrier mobilities. Recently, such p-type OSC SCs compatible with a printing technology have been used to achieve high-speed FETs; therefore, developments of n-type counterparts may be promising for realizing high-speed complementary organic circuits. Herein, coherent electron transport properties in a printed SC of a state-of-the-art, air-stable n-type OSC, PhC2 -BQQDI, by means of variable-temperature gated Hall effect measurements and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analyses in conjunction with band structure calculations, are reported. Furthermore, the SC FET is tested for high-speed operations, which obtains a cutoff frequency of 4.3 MHz at an operation voltage of 20 V in air. Thus, PhC2 -BQQDI is shown as a new candidate for practical applications of SC-based, organic complementary devices.Using the redox-active tetrathiafulvalene tetrabenzoate (TTFTB4- ) as the linker, a series of stable and porous rare-earth metal-organic frameworks (RE-MOFs), [RE9 (μ3 -OH)13 (μ3 -O)(H2 O)9 (TTFTB)3 ] (1-RE, where RE=Y, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er) were constructed. The RE9 (μ3 -OH)13 (μ3 -O) (H2 O)9 ](CO2 )12 clusters within 1-RE act as segregated single-molecule magnets (SMMs) displaying slow relaxation. Interestingly, upon oxidation by I2 , the S=0 TTFTB4- linkers of 1-RE were converted into S= 1 / 2 TTFTB.3- radical linkers which introduced exchange-coupling between SMMs and modulated the relaxation. Furthermore, the SMM property can be restored by reduction in N,N-dimethylformamide. These results highlight the advantage of MOFs in the construction of redox-switchable SMMs.Oral dysfunctions are common in the elderly but the literature lacks a multidisciplinary approach on the relationship between polypharmacy, saliva flow, xerostomia, taste, and swallowing complaints. This cross-sectional study included 204 non-institutionalized elderly (>60 years; 123 women/81 men), free of severe disabilities and non-alcohol/tobacco consumers, from whom specific pharmacological therapies were evaluated, as well xerostomia (Xerostomia Inventory-XI) and swallowing complaints (EAT-10 questionnaire), salivary flow rate and gustatory sensitivity. Statistical analysis included Chi-square, Mann-Whitney, Two-way ANCOVA, and linear multiple regression. Polypharmacy (≥5 drugs daily), hyposalivation, and severe taste dysfunction were found in 18, 46, and 10% of the participants, respectively. Polypharmacy was related with xerostomia (p = .041) and swallowing complaints (p less then  .001; power = 94%), but not with taste dysfunction. Dry mouth complaint and higher risk of swallowing disorders were found in 50 and 12% of the elderly, respectively, and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors users (n = 36) showed higher EAT-10 scores (p = .038). Regression models showed that stimulated salivary flow rate was dependent on gender and diuretic use, while xerostomia scores were dependent on the number of medications and unstimulated saliva flow (p less then  .001). In conclusion, the results draw attention to the high frequency of oral and maxillofacial dysfunctions found in non-institutionalized elderly, especially polypharmacy, xerostomia and swallowing complaints, and the side effects of drugs that can disturb the oral functions, the acceptance of food, and the adherence to oral therapies. We conducted two Delphi-based studies through three online rounds. Shared decision-making is a concept originating in the medical field, and it is ideally based on a trustful relationship between the patient and the health professionals involved. Shared decision-making shows potential to strengthen patient autonomy and encourages patients to become involved in decisions regarding their treatment. WHAT DOES THE PAPER ADD TO EXISTING KNOWLEDGE? A universal concept and understanding of shared decision-making with relevance specifically to psychiatric clinical practice could not be identified in the analysed literature. Shared decision-making refers to a process, and how and whether the patient wishes to participate in the decision-making process should be clarified from the very beginning. On the basis of this synthesizing review, a process model for psychiatric practice was specified and illustrated to help lead health professionals, patients and other supporters through the decision-making process. WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE? The process of shared decision-making should be made visible to all persons involved, and it should be stated at the beginning that a decision must be made.
